Welcome to my blog. When I was young, I read the renowned 1975 work Oh, the Thinks you Can Think!, wherein author Dr. Seuss advises, “Oh the thinks you can think up if only you try.” Impressionable youth that I was, I did. I’ve tried to keep at it ever since. Through the pen of a man named Paul, the Lord advises, “Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things” (Philippians 4:8). I try to do that as well, and it has made all the difference.
I live, work, and study in South Carolina with a wife, a cat, and a lizard (Emma, Phoebe, and Orlando, respectively). As a saved sinner, a citizen of a heavenly city that’s beginning to shine through the cracks in this present chrysalis, I can’t help but love the beauty that embraces me on all sides and lays its hand over me. No matter what I’m doing, I’m studying the world and taking notes for the next one. These are some of those notes. I hope they draw your heart and mind to things above.
